What a week!

This has been one of the most eventful weeks I have had in a long time. It started off on Monday I had to give a presentation at work. Most people would think that with my job I would have no problem with public speaking. Well this is true but only when it comes to speaking to teenagers. I get extremely nervous when I have to speak in front of other adults and especially colleagues. Thank goodness my role was rather small & I made it through without crying:) After I made it through that fear, I would have to conquer more emotions later on at the doctors office. Most people know that I am an open book, especially with our fertility issues. I find a lot of comfort in being open about it and I usually find that I am certainly not alone. This month marked my 3rd month on chlomid and when I went to the doctor for my check-in I received my 2nd dose of profosy(sp?) some sort of shot they give. This visit was so...non-eventful. First of all I had to wait 45 minutes in the waiting room and I felt as though everyone around me was pregnant. The girl behind the desk checking me in...preggers; every chick in the waiting room...preggers; the young teenager walking out of the office with a "I am pregnant bag of goodies"...preggers. Seriously!! Anyway, I go in and my doc does the little check and says..."hmmm this is interesting"...."what exactly is interesting" I say. He says quickly as if no biggie,"last month the left side wasn't doing anything and now this month the right side isn't doing anything". Oh really, I think to myself. Hmmm that must really help my "chances". You know the same chances that he told me of getting pregnant in the first place and how slim they were. Then "why oh why doc is it that the all the chicks in the waiting room here and everywhere in the world right now somehow were able to beat those odds"? I know that God has a plan for me and I know that he is trying to teach me something in all this. I am pretty sure he is trying to teach me to 1. trust him and 2. have patience. I have always trusted him...even though I haven't understood him. However, I haven't always had patience. Most people would agree with this:) Well, lord I am seeing this and I will try to have patience and leave this in your hands!

Tuesday night things got better with our first recipe club! The theme was Mexican and all the food was dee-licous. I am so excited that all the girls seem to get along and that they were all equally excited for this new adventure:)

Wednesday we started school, which I am really looking forward to my new groups of kids. But...I had this terrible sinus infection and of course it lasted for the first couple of days. I felt bad for the kids since normally I am much more bubbly so hopefully they will have some patience with me until the more exciting me makes an appearance:) This stupid sinus ordeal turned into bronchitis and kept me from going to the Lake for a much needed and much anticipated girls weekend.:( I should have been there now, instead I am "taking it easy" hanging out with Lucy & Mr.B...which of course I am not complaining about!

Obviously I need to write more daily so I don't have such longs posts!! The reason I didn't this week was because on top of everything else, our Internet was down. Of course it was! Well, let's hope that next week is a little less eventful:)
Cheers!
